Product Description

The PTFE Wafer Etching Basket is a container specifically designed for carrying and transporting wafers in semiconductor etching departments. It is manufactured using high-purity Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material, offering excellent corrosion resistance, temperature resistance, insulation, and contamination prevention properties. Suitable for use in acid-base processes, it effectively protects wafers from corrosion and contamination, ensuring their quality and performance.

This etching basket is primarily used in acid-base processes in semiconductor etching departments for carrying and transporting wafers, ensuring they remain flat and clean during the etching process.

Features

1. Higher chemical inertness

Teflon materials (such as PFA/PTFE) are almost inert and have excellent resistance to extremely corrosive chemicals such as acids, alkalis, and solvents.

Plastic wafer boxes (such as polypropylene PP or polycarbonate PC) may decompose, age, or precipitate pollutants when facing high-purity acids (such as HF, HCl, H2SO4).

Suitable for wet cleaning processes, acid steam treatment, and corrosive gas environments.

2. Extremely low metal ion precipitation
Teflon materials themselves do not contain fillers, and the metal ion residue is extremely low (ppt level), which does not pollute silicon wafers.

Plastic materials may contain additives or fillers, especially recycled materials, which have the risk of ion contamination and affect chip yield.

3. Strong high temperature resistance
Material and long-term temperature resistance range
PFA/PTFE: -200ºC ~ 260ºC (up to 300ºC in an instant)
PP/PC/PEEK: Generally ≤ 120~180ºC, easy to deform or age. Teflon boxes can avoid thermal deformation in high-temperature cleaning, drying, and temporary storage in front of the furnace.

4. UV resistance & not easy to age
Teflon material has strong UV and radiation resistance, and is not easy to age even if used for a long time in Class 1 clean rooms;

General plastic materials are easily aged by UV light, turning yellow, brittle, and deformed.

5. Smooth surface and low particle adhesion rate
PFA/PTFE itself has extremely low surface energy (≈ 0.02 N/m), and dust and particles are not easy to adhere;

Plastic material surface is prone to electrostatic adsorption of particles or dust;

Reduce mechanical scratches or contamination of silicon wafers by particles.

6. Meet semiconductor GMP and clean level requirements
Teflon wafer boxes are suitable for ultra-clean environments of Class 1~10;

Most ordinary plastic wafer boxes do not meet ISO 14644-1 Class requirements.
