Teflon flasks usually have a round-bellied and narrow-necked appearance, distinct from beakers. Its narrow mouth is used to prevent the solution from splashing or reduce the evaporation of the solution, and it can be used with rubber stoppers to connect other PTFE devices. When the solution needs to react for a long time or be heated to reflux, a polytetrafluoroethylene flask is generally selected as a container. The opening of flask does not have the protruding breach as beaker, and when pouring soln, is easier to flow down along outer wall, so usually all can touch bottleneck to prevent solution from flowing down along outer wall with PTFE stirring rod.
Due to the narrow mouth of the flask, it is not suitable for stirring with a PTFE stirring rod. If you need to stir, you can hold the mouth of the bottle and turn your wrist slightly to stir evenly. If it is heated to reflux, a magnetic stirrer can be placed in the bottle and stirred with a heating stirrer. Flasks can be divided into flat bottom flasks and round bottom flasks according to their appearance.
